Unlike many celebrities who stay quiet about plastic surgery rumors, Nina Dobrev recently addressed claims about her getting eyelid surgery. On Penn Badgley's podcast, Podcrushed, she talked about the strange experience of seeing a TikTok where a plastic surgeon said she had work done.
She said, “I didn’t have anything to hide, and I was annoyed, because I was reading these things that were not true. Aging is a natural part of life. It’s going to happen to all of us.”

Nikolina Kamenova Dobreva, known as Nina Dobrev, is a Canadian actress. She is famous for playing Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce in the supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries on the CW, which aired from 2009 to 2015.

Nina Kamenova Dobreva was born on January 9, 1989, in Sofia, Bulgaria. She is 35 years old. Her father, Kamen Dobrev, is a computer specialist, and her mother, Michaela, is an artist. She has an older brother. When she was two years old, her family moved to Canada and settled in Scarborough, Toronto. At age 10, she and her mother returned to Bulgaria for two years.
Nina went to Vradenburg Junior Public School and J.B. Tyrrell Sr. Public School, where she started taking ballet, jazz, and rhythmic gymnastics. She also took acting classes at Armstrong Acting Studios in Toronto. Later, she attended the arts program at Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts in Scarborough until her final year of school.
Nina Dobrev Boyfriend
From 2010 to 2013, Nina dated her Vampire Diaries co-star, Ian Somerhalder. Since 2020, she has been in a relationship with retired professional snowboarder and Olympic gold medalist Shaun White.
Nina Dobrev has dual citizenship in Bulgaria and Canada. She speaks fluent English and Bulgarian, and also knows some French. While filming The Vampire Diaries, she lived in Atlanta but moved to Los Angeles after leaving the show in 2015.
Dobrev has invested in several drink companies and co-owns a wine brand called Fresh Vine Wine with dancer Julianne Hough.
