She reflected on how much she missed her fellow writers, describing them as "like a family." Though she hasn’t returned to TV writing yet, Finch remains hopeful that she can rebuild her career and repair the relationships she lost.

In December 2022, Finch was living quietly in Topanga Canyon, California. She chose not to participate in the Anatomy of Lies docuseries but posted on Instagram, admitting there is no justification for her lies and expressing her commitment to taking responsibility and making amends. Finch acknowledged it would take time for people to trust her again, but she is willing to wait and work toward rebuilding trust.
