Qualification Details

i. MBBS degree recognized by Medical Council of India with one-year post internship experience in Surgery/General Medicine in a reputed/dedicated hospital/Nursing Home and

ii. (a) Diploma in Industrial Health or Equivalent post Graduate certificate of training in Industrial Health recognised by the Central or State Government, or

(b) Having work experience for a period not less than three years in policy, execution and advice and safety & health of workers employed in mines, ports and docks, factories and buildings and other construction work.

Salary

i. Consolidated Monthly remuneration of Rs. 93,000/- (Rupees Ninety Three Thousand Only) will be paid per month.

ii. Annual increment of Rs. 2800/- per month will be given on extension of period (if any) after completion of one year of engagement.

iii. OPD expenses of Rs.1,000/- per month. This amount shall be paid on monthly basis along with consolidated remuneration.

iv. Family floater insurance coverage of Rs.5 Lakhs for indoor treatment in respect of self, spouse and two immediate dependents i.e. children and/ or parents.

v. Personal Accident Insurance Policy for an amount of Rs.12 Lakhs respectively to cover any eventuality including disability and medical treatment therefor.

vi. To & fro local conveyance charges @ Rs.14/- per K.M. shall be paid from local residence.

vii. Medical Officer will be entitled for 12 CL and 12 paid leave in a calendar year. (For pro-rata calculation, 1 CL and 1 paid leave for a month may be taken). He/She will also be entitled to compensatory off for attending extra duty. Paid leave can be accumulated/ carried forward but not Casual Leave.

viii. Engagement as Medical Officer is full time on temporary tenure basis and will have initial period of engagement for not more than one year. Based on the performance, period of engagement can be extended further on yearly basis. The maximum period of engagement will be 03 years. Increment will be given on extension of services after completion of one year of engagement.

ix. All the above benefits will be governed by the policy of the Company in force & amended from time to time.

General Instructions

1. Contract tenure will commence from the date of joining. Selected candidates will have to sign a contract with GAIL for the above engagement.

2. Notice period of 30 days would be required to be given from either side for termination of contractual engagement, if terminated prior to completion of stipulated tenure of engagement.

3. Selected candidate will not have any right whatsoever to claim for regular appointment in GAIL by virtue of working as a Medical Officer.

4. Candidate should ensure that they fulfill the initial eligibility criteria prescribed for the post for which they have applied. In case it is found at any stage of the selection process or even after engagement that the candidate has furnished false or incorrect information or suppressed any relevant information/material facts or does not fulfill the initial eligibility criteria, his/her candidature/agreement/services are liable for rejection/termination without notice.

5. Candidate presently employed in Central/State Govt. Departments, Central/State PSU’s or Semi Government Organizations shall either forward their application through proper channel or shall produce NOC from their present employer at the time of interview.

6. GAIL reserves the right to fill or not to fill the above position and cancel/restrict/enlarge/ modify/alter the engagement process without any further notice or assigning any reasons whatsoever.

7. The prescribed qualification/experience are the minimum and mere possessions of the same does not entitle a candidate for participation in the selection process. GAIL’s decision shall be final in this regard.

8. Any important information including Corrigendum/ Changes/ Updates and information on selected candidates and general instructions during the course of recruitment process shall be made available either through the website or on the e-mail id provided by the candidates. Therefore, candidates may provide a valid e-mail id and keep it active for at least one year, simultaneously tracking the website for updates.

9. Any canvassing directly or indirectly by the applicant will disqualify his/her candidature. Any dispute with regard to engagement against this advertisement will be settled within the jurisdiction of Alibag, Raigad (Maharashtra) Court only.
