He was with his girlfriend and their Labrador Retriever when their boat was swept into a bridge and overturned, throwing them into the water.
While his girlfriend was safely rescued, Boone and the dog were carried downstream. A search team later found Boone's body in a creek near W. Allen's Bridge Road on October 1, 2024. Sadly, the dog did not survive either.
