Kylie Minogue shared in an interview with Elle magazine in 2009 that women have always wanted to look their best, but the beauty options available today are different. She mentioned that while she prefers a more natural look now, she has tried Botox and other treatments before. Kylie believes everyone should be free to choose what they want, and that the stigma around cosmetic treatments isn't as strong as it was when she was younger.

She also joked that as she’s gotten older, sometimes looking in the mirror feels like seeing a different person due to aging. Seeing her face on a phone or Skype, she humorously compared to a movie special effect. Regarding the stigma around cosmetic surgery, Kylie said women are often criticized whether they choose to undergo procedures or not.

“I don’t any more, I won’t go near it. I have lines. You can see the lines on my face.”
