Until Dawn is a game where your choices really matter. Set in a cabin in the mountains, you control a group of friends who are chased by a supernatural force and face problems among themselves.

The goal is to keep as many people alive as possible. Small decisions can change whether a character survives or not. To win with all characters surviving, you need to make the right choices throughout the game.

How to Keep Everyone Alive in Until Dawn?

How to Save Jessica?

• Chapter 4: Mike chases Jessica through the woods after she’s grabbed. Choose the faster paths to make fewer mistakes. If Mike reaches her on the elevator, she survives. If Mike finds her with a ripped jaw, she dies.
• Chapter 10: If Jessica survives, she tries to escape the Wendigo with Matt. Hide and stay still to survive. If Matt is there, catch her when she falls, and stay together for both to survive.

How to Save Matt?

• Chapter 5: Disagree with Emily about going to the fire tower. This helps Matt later.
• Chapter 6: Don’t hit the elk with an axe. Take the flare gun. Save Emily twice, and shoot the flare gun to survive.
• Chapter 10: Hide from the Wendigo and stay still. Catch Jessica when she falls, and stay together to survive.

How to Save Chris?

• Chapter 6: Chris can choose to shoot himself or Ashley. He should shoot himself, as he survives and Ashley appreciates it.
• Chapter 8: Chris is chased by a Wendigo. Shoot the targets to keep him safe. If Chris shot himself earlier, Ashley will let him in the cabin.
• Chapter 9: If you’re playing as Ashley, don’t leave Chris behind. Avoid opening the trapdoor to stay alive.

How to Save Emily?

• Chapter 8: In the elevator, choose the left path and don’t miss any QTEs. When she gets bitten by the Wendigo, don’t let Mike shoot her.
• Chapter 10: If Sam saves Mike, Emily will survive.

How to Save Ashley?

• Chapter 9: Don’t open the trapdoor hatch. A Wendigo will kill Ashley if you do.
• Chapter 10: Hide as Sam and save Mike to keep Ashley alive.

Can You Save Josh?

• Chapter 10: When Mike is in the water, go left to find Hannah’s diary. Finding it saves Josh from turning into a Wendigo.

Sam and Mike’s Survival?

• Chapter 10: Sam and Mike can’t die until Chapter 10. Don’t blow up the house immediately. Save Mike and stay hidden to let everyone escape. Sam will blow up the house at the end with all the Wendigos inside.

How to Save the Wolf?

• Chapter 9: If Mike is kind to the wolf and keeps it safe during the asylum chase, the wolf survives.

Until Dawn is a 2015 horror game where you control eight young adults trying to survive on Blackwood Mountain.
