Qualification Details

Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Manufacturing/ Mechatronics/ Industrial/ Machining/Instrumentation & Control/ Tools & Machining/ Tools & Die Making/ Automobile/ Production Engineering OR (b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Manufacturing /Mechatronics /Industrial/ Machining/ Instrumentation & Control/Tools & Machining/Tools & Die Making/ Automobile/ Production Engineering from a recognized University/ institute.

Three years Diploma in (a) Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering OR(b) a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engg fror recognized University/Institute.

Salary

The selected employees will be eligible for stipend or their substantive cadre pay whichever is beneficial for them. Pay and allowances for Apprentice selected under GDCE will be govemed by para 1905 of IREM Vol II & Railway Board's letter No.PC IV/2006lMisc/5 dtd:1710412006 and Railway Board's letter No.PC-Yl20l6lPS{ (Stipend) dtd:0210212017.

Selection Procedure

• The GDCE will consist of Computer Based Test followed by Document verification and medical examination.
• The standard of Computer Based Test under GDCE shall be that of the Computer Based Test prescribed for Direct Recruitment Quota on open competition for this post.
• The Computer Based Test will be conducted by RRC, Chennai.
• Empanelled candidates will be examined for fitness in the appropriate medical classification, if not already done and should be found fit in medical classification as prescribed before they are directed for training.

General Conditions

• Before applying for the post, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligible norms including the community requirements of the post.
• At the time of applying, candidates should possess the prescribed minimum educational qualification. Final/Provisional certificates issued by the competent authority along with copies of all marks sheets only will be considered.
• Those awaiting result of the final examination need not apply. Candidates trying to use influence or unfair means will be disqualified from the selection at any stage.
• RC will reject any application at any stage of selection process if the candidate is ineligible for the post for which he/she has applied or indulges in any form of malpractice.
• Even after appointment such candidate is liable to be summarily removed from service.
• Candidates attempting to give false information/suppress facts, attempt impersonation/fraudulence will be disqualified and are liable for debarment and/or disciplinary action ever after selection.
• In terms of Railway Board's letter No. 2010(E) (RRB) 25/27/Pt dated: 09.06.2011, wherever any question(s) or answers) in the question paper is/are found to be incorrect, the question(s) would be omitted from the scope of evaluation.
• The marks obtained for the remaining questions will be considered for evaluation proportionately equated to the total marks.

How to Apply?

• Employees who fulfillthe above conditions and are willing shall apply through 'ONLINE'.

• On receipt of application through ONLINE a confirmation message will be sent to the registered mobile number of the employee available in Personnel Branch. If the SMS is not received within a day ernployees are advised to contact Ch.OS/S2lPB(Note: To register and update mobile number, Ch.OS/S2/PB to be contacted).
• The last date and time for submission of application is upto 17.30hrs of: 06/11/2024.
• No need to upload the attested copies of certificates as proof of passing 10th/Matric, Diploma/Degree and community certificate in the case of SC/ST/OBC which will be called and verified for the qualified candidates during document verification.
