Talent Winner: Miss Capital City Anna Leah Jolly
Miss Capital City Anna Leah Jolly winning in the talent phase of the competition. Jolly performed a Ballet en Pointe dance for her talent. Jolly received a $500 scholarship from
Ameristar Casino and Hotel.
Evening Wear Winner: Miss Pine Belt Paige McNeil
Miss Pine Belt Paige McNeil winning in the evening gown phase and Miss Capital City Anna Leah Jolly winning in the talent phase of the competition. McNeil wore a black gown she personally designed. As the evening gown preliminary winner, McNeil received a $400 scholarship from Ameristar Casino and Hotel.
Miss Mississippi Competition Details and Scholarships
The Miss Mississippi organization demonstrates its commitment to supporting contestants through substantial scholarship awards.
Miss Mississippi is a scholarship pageant and a preliminary of Miss America.
The contest began in 1934, has been held in Vicksburg since 1958, and provides more money than any other scholarship pageant in the Miss America Organization.
Each preliminary winner received scholarships from Ameristar Casino and Hotel, with talent winners earning $500 and evening wear winners receiving $400, recognizing their achievements during the preliminary rounds.
Competition Format and Judging
The candidates will have to impress the five judges to score high enough to make the Top 11 Saturday night. Those scores include the private interview, talent, health and fitness, evening gown and onstage question. The preliminary competitions serve as crucial opportunities for contestants to demonstrate their skills and potentially secure bonus points toward the final competition.
Road to the Crown
After three nights of preliminary competition and months of preparation, the journey to the crown is nearly complete. In less than 24 hours, one of 33 hopefuls will hear their name called and experience the life-changing experience of being crowned as Miss Mississippi 2025.
The competition featured 33 delegates from across Mississippi, each representing different regions and bringing unique talents and platforms to the stage. The delegates for 2025 are from every area of the state. They are students, dancers, athletes, singers and musicians.

The Miss Mississippi organization ensured broad accessibility to the competition. Saturday night's competition will also air on WLBT-Jackson, WLOX-Biloxi, WMC Bounce – Memphis, WTVA-Tupelo, WTOK- Meridian and WDAM-Hattiesburg. Additionally, Both the Preliminary competitions and the Miss Mississippi 2025 Saturday finale are available to stream live at missmisslive.com.
The preliminary winners now advance to the final competition where they will join other top-scoring contestants for the ultimate goal of being crowned Miss Mississippi 2025. The winner will represent Mississippi at the Miss America competition, continuing the state's legacy of excellence in the organization.
The current titleholder, Becky Williams of Purvis, who was crowned Miss Mississippi 2024 on June 8, 2024 at the Vicksburg Convention Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi, will pass on her crown to the new Miss Mississippi 2025.
As the competition concludes, these preliminary winners have already made their mark, demonstrating the talent, poise, and dedication that exemplifies the Miss Mississippi program's commitment to developing young women as leaders and advocates in their communities.
