At the end of "Uglies," Tally Youngblood (Joey King) decides to undergo the surgery to become a "pretty," even though she knows it will change her appearance and personality. She hopes to keep her true self intact. Before the surgery, Tally promises David (Keith Powers) that she will leave a sign if she still remembers who she is. 

After the operation, she looks different but shows her old scar, proving she hasn’t lost her identity. The movie ends with Tally now looking like a "pretty," but her mind remains the same. This setup hints at possible sequels, as Tally’s story is far from over.

She decides to test a cure for the surgery, promising to stay true to her beliefs despite becoming Pretty.
