Career
On July 15, 2019, Ville Heinola signed a three-year contract with the Winnipeg Jets. He did very well in training camp and became the first player from the 2019 NHL Draft to get a point in his first game on October 3, 2019. He scored his first NHL goal on October 8, 2019, against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Heinola got 5 points in 8 games before he went back to play with the Manitoba Moose in the AHL. After just 3 games there, he was loaned to his old Finnish team, Lukko, on November 8, 2019, to help him continue to grow as a player.
