What does the Blue Plus Mean on TikTok?

The blue plus sign on your TikTok profile is a button that lets you quickly add a post to your TikTok story. TikTok started offering stories to more people in May 2022.

To add a story, go to your profile and tap the blue plus icon. This opens the camera for filming, or you can upload something from your camera roll.

Just like on Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook, TikTok stories last for 24 hours before disappearing.

Where is the Blue Sign on TikTok?

If you are using an up-to-date version of TikTok and can post Stories, the option should already be available on your profile.

Just go to your TikTok profile, and you should see it.

Keep in mind, only you can see the blue plus sign on your own profile, and you need to be signed in for it to appear.

If you visit someone else's TikTok profile, the blue plus sign won’t be visible – it only shows up when they look at their own profile.
