What Happened to Puck Re Zero?
Puck broke his contract with Emilia and now rests inside a crystal she wears. He was not just a spirit but acted like a father to her and always said he loved her most, even more than Subaru. Puck’s support was very important for Emilia, so his absence hurt her deeply.
During the Sanctuary trials in Season 2, Emilia struggled to face her past. Puck couldn't help her because Roswaal changed their contract. In the end, Puck decided to break the contract to help Emilia remember her past, believing this was necessary for her to succeed in the trials and her goals.
When Puck broke his contract with Emilia, he faced big risks. He needed a lot of mana to stay in his form. Since he was no longer connected to Emilia, he would pull mana from the nearby area, which could drain the Sanctuary of its mana and endanger everyone there.
If this happened, Puck might become a huge monster again, causing destruction like he did before. If he didn't get enough mana, he would disappear and be reborn somewhere else in the world, possibly in a place that was important to him.
Where is Puck?
Puck is currently resting inside a crystal that Emilia wears around her neck. He broke his contract with her to help Emilia face her past and gain strength for the trials she must overcome. Puck has always been more than just a spirit; he is like a father figure to Emilia and has supported her throughout her journey.
Before his disappearance, Puck played a crucial role in protecting Emilia and helping her confront her traumas. Now, while he is not physically present, he remains connected to her, watching over her and hoping she will succeed in her challenges.
Who is Puck?
Puck is an artificial spirit created by Echidna and was once contracted with Emilia. He is known as the Beast of the End and is one of the Four Great Spirits. Puck was very important for Emilia's emotional well-being and acted like a parent to her during the first four story arcs.
In Arc 4, Puck broke the contract to help Emilia face her past and lift the seal on her memories. After using all his power, he fell into a deep sleep inside a glintstone that Emilia carries. Now, everyone is waiting for his strength to return so he can wake up again.

Re Zero − Starting Life in Another World is a Japanese light novel series by Tappei Nagatsuki. It began as a web novel in 2012. The story follows Subaru Natsuki, a young man who suddenly finds himself in a new world after leaving a convenience store. The series includes 39 light novels and many side stories.
