A source close to the family told TheCable Lifestyle that the singer passed away on Tuesday after a short illness. Fans have shared their condolences in the comments on a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Gawat, the daughter of well-known TV presenter and cleric Rasaq Gawat, entered the Islamic music scene in 2015. She gained fame after releasing a song called "Aye Le," which is about her father's mysterious disappearance.
