From 1992 to 1998, she was an anchor and reporter for WWL in New Orleans. In April 1998, she joined NBC News as a Dateline NBC correspondent. Kotb became co-anchor of the Today show in January 2018, making history as part of the first all-female anchor duo alongside Savannah Guthrie.
She also co-hosted the fourth hour of the Today show since 2007.
