Michael Vick started his college football career at Virginia Tech as a redshirt freshman in 1999. In his first game, he scored three rushing touchdowns before injuring his ankle. Despite missing some games, Vick led the team to an undefeated season and a spot in the national championship game.
Though they lost to Florida State, Vick's performance was impressive. He set a freshman passing efficiency record and finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting. Vick left college after his sophomore season to join the NFL. He later retired from professional football in 2017 as an Atlanta Falcon.
