Scott Frost will now be coaching Los Angeles Rams. Former Nebraska football coach Scott Frost is getting back into coaching, now at the NFL level. According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Frost is joining the Los Angeles Rams as a senior football analyst for head coach Sean McVay and his team. This will be Frost's first coaching job since being fired by Nebraska in 2022 after a disappointing start to the season with a 1-2 record, including a loss to Georgia Southern at home.

Although Nebraska did play in a bowl game under Frost, they never met the requirements to qualify for one. Nebraska owes Frost about $16.4 million as part of his contract and buyout terms.

After the season, Matt Rhule was hired as the new head coach and kept only the offensive line coach, Donovan Raiola.

Frost, who played quarterback at Nebraska in the 1990s, was the head coach there from 2018 to 2022, with a record of 16-31. He was fired in September 2022 after starting the season with a 1-2 record.
Rams coach Sean McVay said Frost will assist the special teams coordinator, Chase Blackburn, and also help with both the offense and defense.
"Just to be able to get a quality, caliber coach like him in the building, as you guys know, you know, we've had a lot of turnover for the right reasons, and you can't have enough good quality people in-house," McVay said after Monday's practice. "And really, to get him in, it was something that he wanted to do. And like I said, the mutual connections, so there's a lot of people that are excited about it."
