Who is Bob in Thunderbolts?
The first trailer for Thunderbolts has been released, showing the team coming together, including a new character named Bob. Bob, who is also known as Sentry, will be played by Lewis Pullman.
Pullman is an actor who has recently gained popularity for his roles in films like Battle of the Sexes, The Strangers: Prey at Night, and Top Gun: Maverick. He has also appeared on TV in shows like Outer Range and Lessons in Chemistry. Originally, Steven Yeun, who is known for The Walking Dead, was cast to play Bob in Thunderbolts.
Who is the Main Villain in the Thunderbolts?
It is said that Sentry will be the antagonist. The cast features familiar MCU characters like Yelena Belova, played by Florence Pugh, and Bucky Barnes, played by Sebastian Stan. This movie, set to release in 2025, is highly anticipated because it focuses on the Thunderbolts team.
In the trailer, we see Yelena, John Walker (U.S. Agent), Ghost, and Taskmaster fighting in a big warehouse, not knowing who sent the others there. Bob, who appears to be an ordinary man without special powers or skills, is also at the warehouse but wasn’t sent by anyone. It looks like Bob will have an important role in the Thunderbolts story.
Sentry's Story in Thunderbolts
Sentry first appeared in Sentry #1, published in July 2000. He was created by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee.
In 1947, scientists tried to recreate the Super Soldier Serum, but their project was broken apart over the next 30 years.
Ten years later, Robert Reynolds broke into a laboratory and found the Golden Sentry Serum, which gave him superpowers.
However, his transformation caused the death of his partner and the lab guards. As a result, Project: Sentry started pursuing him to test his abilities.
Realizing they planned to use his powers for bad purposes, Robert decided to become a hero instead. He made his own superhero suit and debuted as the Sentry for everyone to see.
Thunderbolts
Thunderbolts is an upcoming superhero movie from Marvel, based on a team of characters from Marvel Comics. It will be the 36th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is produced by Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios.
The movie is directed by Jake Schreier and written by Eric Pearson, Lee Sung Jin, and Joanna Calo. It features a star-studded cast, including David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Geraldine Viswanathan, Lewis Pullman, Olga Kurylenko, and Florence Pugh.
In this film, a group of antiheroes takes on missions for the government.
Who is Lewis Pullman?
Lewis James Pullman is an American actor and the son of actor Bill Pullman. He started his acting career in the movie The Ballad of Lefty Brown in 2017, where he acted alongside his father. He has appeared in several films, including The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018), Bad Times at the El Royale (2018), and Top Gun: Maverick (2022).
On TV, he played Major Major Major Major in the series Catch-22 (2019) and starred in Outer Range (2022) and Lessons in Chemistry (2023). For his role as a chemist in Lessons in Chemistry, he was nominated for both a Primetime Emmy Award and a Critics' Choice Television Award.
