Qualification Details

• Possess,- (i) academic qualifications as specified respectively against each subject in the Annexure obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other Educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act,1956; or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Dental Council of India;
• (ii) Atleast four years teaching experience in the concerned subject as specified in annexure on the post not below the rank of Tutor in the Dental Colleges recognised by the Government and Dental Council of India after acquiring the post graduate degree i.e. Master of Dental Surgery
• B. D. S. with M. D. S. in Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge or Diplomate of National Board in Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge. B.D.S. with M.D.S. in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics or Diplomate of National Board in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics
• B.D.S. with M.D.S. in Pedodontics (Paediatric) and Preventive Dentistry or Diplomate of National Board in Pedodontics (Paediatric) and Preventive Dentistry. B.D.S. with M.D.S. in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or Diplomate of National Board in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
• B.D.S. with M.D.S. in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics or Diplomate of National Board in Orthodontics / Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. B.D.S. with M.D.S. in Periodontology or Diplomate of National Board in Periodontology
• B.D.S. with M.D.S. in Oral Pathology and Microbiology or Diplomate of National Board in Oral Pathology and Microbiology. B.D.S. with M.D.S. in Public Health Dentistry or Diplomate of National Board in Public Health Dentistry.

Age Limit

Age: Not be more than 41 years. Age will be considered as on last date of Online application. Candidates of the concerned category in which the reserved post is mentioned will be eligible for the following relaxation in the upper age limit.

Application Fees

Candidates of General (Unreserved) category have to pay Rs. 100/- + applicable postal charges or in case of Online Payment, Rs. 100/- + Service charges as Application Fees, while Candidates belonging to reserved categories and Economically Weaker Section of Gujarat State, Ex-serviceman and Person with Disability have not to pay application fees. While candidates of reserved category of other states have to pay application fees.

Selection Procedure

• Preliminary Exam Pattern: A paper of Concerned Subject of 200 marks. Duration: 180 minutes. As per the Instruction/Provision of the Commission, the candidates who possess less than 25% marks in Preliminary Test shall not be eligible for Interview. Of which, the candidates of SC & ST categories, who possess less than 20% marks in Preliminary Test shall not be eligible for Interview.
• The candidates should produce formula / method of calculation of percentage where percentage of marks is not mentioned in the marksheets by the University.
• The candidates having qualification from foreign University should produce necessary documents / proof regarding the recognition/equivalence of their degree.
• Candidates shall require to remain present at each stage of recruitment process, otherwise his/her candidature shall be cancelled

Online applications are invited for the various Posts of Associate Professor, (Dental), General State Service,Class-I, in the Government Dental Colleges and attached Hospitals under Health & Family Welfare Department . Candidates can apply during Date: 15/10/2024, 13:00 to Date: 30/10/2024, 23:59.
