Something Corporate
Something Corporate, often called SoCo, is an American rock band from Laguna Niguel, California, formed in 1998. The band is made up of Andrew McMahon, Josh Partington and William Tell, Kevin Page, and Brian Ireland.
They started out by recording demos and releasing an independent album, Ready... Break. They gained attention and were signed to MCA Records, releasing their debut EP Audioboxer under Drive-Thru Records. Their song "If You C Jordan" became a hit, reaching number 29 on the Alternative Songs chart. In 2002, they released their first major album Leaving Through the Window, which topped the Billboard Heatseekers chart and eventually reached number 101 on the Billboard 200.
The band took a break in 2004, during which Andrew McMahon focused on his other project, Jack's Mannequin. They reunited briefly in 2006 and officially in 2009, going on a tour and releasing a greatest hits album in 2010. In 2022, they reunited again to perform at McMahon's 40th birthday and played more shows in 2023. They are also planning a tour in 2024, including performances on a special cruise.
